EXCLUSIVE: Tall Argentine striker Luciano Olguin played for Sydney FC tonight in a friendly while they were also linked with a Uruguayan as the A-League champions ramp up their search for a target-man.
The club has stated that a big striker is their priority as they seek to complement pacy "Killer-B" duo Alex Brosque and Mark Bridge.
Olguin got his chance to impress tonight against state league club Macarthur Rams in Campbelltown which ended in a late 1-0 win for the A-league side, with a 90th goal from Dimitri Petratos.
There are also unconfirmed reports that the club are in the market for a Uruguayan striker believed to be Liverpool de Montevideo's out of favour forward Elias Figueroa.
However, when asked to comment today by au.fourfourtwo.com the sky blues denied knowledge of the link with the 22-year-old former Uruguay youth international
Figueroa is said to be struggling for game time at Liverpool and has mainly been used off the bench.
