Nikola Mileusnic netted a hat-trick as 2014 FFA Cup winners Adelaide United progressed to the final four with a comfortable 3-0 win away to Heidelberg United on Wednesday night.
Mileusnic netted twice inside the opening 11 minutes as the Reds were rampant at Olympic Village.
The 24-year-old attacker completed his treble with a strike on 61 minutes from impressive debutant Karim Matmour's assist.
Mileusnic opened the scoring in the third minute with a simple tap-in from close range after Ryan Kitto's low cutback from the left side of the box.
George Blackwood set up the second goal with an aggressive run on the left flank, before laying off for Mileusnic to volley home on the turn.
Heidelberg responded in the second half, but Adelaide put the result beyond doubt just past the hour mark when Matmour headed a deep cross to Mileusnic to convert.
Matmour almost scored one of the best-ever cup goals on 78 minutes when his rabona hit the underside of the bar.
The Reds, who lost in the Round of 32 last year, are into the semi-finals alongside Sydney FC.
Next week's quarter-final see Blacktown City play Western Sydney Wanderers and Gold Coast City up against South Melbourne.
