Apostolos Giannou has put aside the disappointment of missing the Socceroos' World Cup squad by helping AEK Larnaca clinch the Cypriot Cup overnight.
Giannou laid off the assist for the winner in a 2-1 victory for AEK over Apollon in Thursday morning's final.
Apollon had gone ahead in the first half before AEK levelled, with Giannou playing his part for Acaron's 71st minute winner.
The Australian striker went on a run from inside his own half, attracting two defenders, before laying off for Acaron to fire home.
Giannou was replaced late in the game, before receiving a red card as a substitute during an injury-time scuffle.
The five-time Socceroo, who was born in Greece, moved from Chinese club Guangzhou R&F to Cyprus in January.
Giannou has scored five goals in 17 appearances in all competitions for AEK.
