With only 100 days to go until the 2018 World Cup, Australians are clearly feeling the excitement.Β

Over 19,000 tickets have been bought by Australians - approximatelyΒ 3,800 tickets for the match against France, 3,900 against Denmark and 4,600 against Peru - ranking AustraliaΒ  eighth globally for the last ticket sales period.Β

Peruvian fans - who also endured intercontinental qualifiers - also ranked highly on the list with almost 22,000 tickets sold.Β

Although still ranked highly by international standards, the 2018 ticket sales result for Australia is still a substantial drop from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where over 53,000 tickets were bought by Australians.Β
